Quiboloy, followers plead not guilty to trafficking charges

Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) founder Pastor Apollo Quiboloy and four of his co-accused pleaded not guilty for the human trafficking cases charged against them on Friday, September 13.

Quiboloy was escorted by Philippine National Police (PNP) officers to the Regional Trial Court Branch 159 in Pasig City and will be facing the non-bailable Qualified Human Trafficking charges to trial following the no guilty plea.

“Tatag lang, tatag lang,” he said upon his arrival when he was asked to give a message to his followers.

The megachurch leader and his cohorts were arrested on September 8 after more than two weeks of search operations by the PNP-Davao at the KOJC compound in Davao City.

His accomplices include Jackielyn Roy, Sylvia Cemañes, Cresente, Paulene, and Ingrid Canada.
