FORMER vice president Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo will be releasing her coffee table book this May.
Tayo ang Liwanag (We are the Light) was shown by Robredo in a Facebook Live from her Quezon City office on Friday.
Robredo announced that the book will be available on May 9, the anniversary of last year's national elections.
“A copy of the draft copy of our coffee table book that is one year in the making just arrived and the announcement is this will be available to the public on May 9, which is the anniversary of the elections,” Robredo said.
Robredo said some edits will still be done to the 400-page book before the release.
The former vice president said the book chronicles her entire presidential campaign.
She also revealed that there will also be never-before portions shared to the public.
“We are excited about it because this chronicles our entire history,” Robredo said in a mixture of English and Filipino. “That's why it's called the People's Campaign, because you were, every bit, a part of it.”
A book signing event will take place on the launch date of May 9 at the Angat Buhay museum in Quezon City.
Robredo ran for president in last year's national elections, with then-senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan as her running mate.
She is currently the chairman of the Angat Buhay nongovernment organization.
