Sail on love and laughter this weekend

Following a successful premiere night on Tuesday and next-day nationwide cinematic opening, a fun idea for this weekend is to head out and catch Viva Films' latest release, “The Ship Show.”

Now showing everywhere, this romantic comedy, directed by young box-office filmmaker and screenwriter Jason Paul Laxamana, is comprised of a star-studded cast that is bringing waves of excitement to theaters nationwide.

The romantic comedy is comprised of a star-studded young cast headed by Heaven Peralejo and Marco Gallo.

Fresh from the winning run of small screen sensation “The Rain in España,” the charismatic pair of Marco Gallo and Heaven Peralejo reunites for “The Ship Show” with its narrative of 12 individuals all vying to be “shipped together” to become the nation's next beloved love team.

A very “now” concept, audiences will meet diverse personalities as contestants, from the introverted Araw (Marco Gallo) paired with the vibrant Chia (Heaven Peralejo) to the music-infused love story of Elbrich (Migo Valid) and Marge (Janine Teñoso).

Each pairing promises to evoke a range of emotions as the competition unfolds, and the lot is given task after ask designed to win the hearts of fans and survive elimination rounds.

“The Ship Show” marks the debut of Gallo and Peralejo as a lead love team on the silver screen, building on the triumph of “The Rain in España,” which captured the hearts of TV5 audiences and streaming enthusiasts via Viva One. This latest endeavor guarantees a huge splash of delight for their devoted fans and supporters.

Completing the cast are a bevy of rising stars: Tomas Rodriguez, Ashtine Olviga, PJ Rosario, Angelic Guzman, Rabin Angeles, Bianca Santos, Migo Valid, Janine Teñoso, Martin Venega and Madelaine Red.

Laxamana, the creative genius behind hits like “100 Tula Para Kay Stella” and “The Day After Valentine's,” lends his signature touch to “The Ship Show,” ensuring a cinematic experience that tugs at the heartstrings and multiplies young love thrills six times over.
