MANILA, Philippines — Yuka Saso waged a late charge, banging away five birdies against a bogey to sneak into joint ninth at the close of the Chukyo TV Bridgestone Ladies Open in Japan yesterday.
From way behind, Saso worked her way to the Top 10 and inched closer to the Y100-million mark in earnings in pocketing Y781,772 with her four-under 36-hole showing in the weather-shortened event won by Inami Mone with a wondrous 15-under card.
Over in Virginia, Bianca Pagdanganan and Dottie Ardina had their own flurries in the third round of the LPGA Tour’s Pure Silk Championship paced by Thai Moriya Jutanugarn and Taiwanese Wei-Ling Hsu with their 10-under cards.
Pagdanganan fired a four-under 67 for a two-under total at 27th while Ardina shot a 68 for an even aggregate through 54 holes.
