Star Magic drops exciting line-up of events for May

Star Magic is treating fans to a jam-packed May with a stream of events to look forward to and watch live on the official Star Magic YouTube channel. After a successful run of the first-ever “Star

Magical Prom” last month, where ABS-CBN's talent agency gathered its young and rising talents, Star Magic is mounting more themed balls to further spotlight the stable's premier artists.

To kick off the festivities, summer will be hotter with the first-ever “Hot Summer LaHot Sexy Bikini Ball,” championing self-love and body positivity.

Happening on May 4, this grand summer party will gather various stars like Maymay Entrata, Ria Atayde, Chie Filomeno, Enchong Dee, and Jake Cuenca slaying the runway in their hot and colorful creative swimsuits designed by well-known fashion designers.

“Just like the Star Magical Prom, this is a first for Star Magic. People you won't expect to be there will be there,” Atayde said on Wednesday at a media conference.

“I really like this event because it advocates and campaigns body positivity which I know you know is my main advocacy in life. You'll be able to see a lot of Star Magic artists show their confidence and style and be able to slay regardless of age, shape and size. Enchong and I will be hosting the event,” she added.

Former child actress Xyriel Manabat, who has been surprising everyone with her grown-up figure, likewise shared that fans should be excited to see their favorite artists strut the runway with their sexiest outfits.

“As long as we're confident with our bodies, that is when we'll be able to spread positivity to others. It's all about body empowerment — showing confidence with a little skin,” Manabat averred.

Celebrity mommies will also be given a special tribute on Mother's Day with the first “Star MaMagic Day” on May 10.

“This is a special Mother's Day treat for all Star Magic mamas. As we all know, aside from being actresses, a lot of us are also moms, and sometimes it can really be overwhelming,” Elisse Joson conveyed.

The strong and beautiful mothers like her who are under Star Magic's care include Jolina Magdangal, Vina Morales, Dimples Romana and Janella Salvador. All will be in attendance with their kids during the heartwarming event.

“It's going to be exciting because you will also see the celebrity moms as their regular selves with our kids there. This is also a first for Star Magic, so it will be fun,” Joson continued.

Meanwhile, sports enthusiasts and fans alike will be delighted, too, because the much-awaited “All-Star Games” finally begins on May 21.

“At the All-Star Games, we promote camaraderie and sportsmanship. Fans can catch Kapamilya artists play against each other in badminton, volleyball and basketball,” Akira of BGYO said. The Star Magic Dream Team for basketball includes Daniel Padilla, Donny Pangilinan and playing coach Gerald Anderson.

“There will also be surprise performances the fans should watch out for,” Akira added. While all these events are underway, Star Magic is also gearing up to launch the latest edition of the “Star Magic Catalogue.”

Fans can expect the limited edition hardcopy of the portfolio featuring talent management's biggest and brightest stars to be released in June.

“We've been preparing this for a long time now — it's been two years in the making. Our family is getting bigger, so you will see all of them in the newest Star Magic Catalogue,” Love Almazan-Capulong, head of Star Magic Digital concluded.
