Suspect in killing of La Salle Dasmarinas student arrested

DASMARIÑAS CITY, Cavite: The Philippine National Police (PNP) arrested on Saturday morning, April 1, the suspect in the killing of a La Salle Dasmariñas student here.

The Police identified the suspect as Angelito Erlano y Lacerna, also known as Kulet, who was arrested following a hot pursuit operation conducted by the Dasmariñas City Police Station and Cavite Provincial Intelligence Unit.

According to Police Col. Christopher Olazo, Cavite Provincial Director, recovered from the residence of the suspect were a pair of black shorts with white stripes and a blue t-shirt marked with a trademark eagle believed to have been used by the suspect during the commission of the crime.

Police also found a black backpack believed to be owned by the victim.

According to police records, the suspect has been previously arrested for his involvement in robbery cases.
