Taylor Swift and Travis got married in America’s royal wedding. Everything to know about their star-studded celebration

Baby, just say yes: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are married.

On Friday evening, Swift’s publicist confirmed weeks of rumours — and 72 hours of the world watching wedding prep at Madison Square Garden, the unlikely venue — in a statement shared with media.

New York’s Empire State Building is seen in the distance as people take photos of a giant screen showing the message “JUST&T MARRIED!” outside Madison Square Garden on Friday night.

Affirming that the pair are indeed married, Swift’s representative added that while they didn’t have bridesmaids or groomsmen, the pop superstar’s brother Austin was her “man of honour” while Kelce’s brother Jason was best man. Comedian and friend of the couple, Adam Sandler, was the officiant.

“The ceremony joined both families together,” the statement said.

Just before this news broke, a giant sign outside Madison Square Garden lit up to read: “JUST&T MARRIED,” intertwining the pair’s initials in a very public signal that Swift and Kelce had officially tied the knot inside the 22,000-person stadium.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce wore custom Dior wedding looks

Tree Paine, Swift’s publicist, also shared that both the pop star and her now-husband, both 36, wore custom Dior haute couture by Jonathan Anderson for the July 3 wedding celebration. (This confirms a scoop by the Hollywood Reporter earlier this week.) Swift wore Cartier jewelry and both she and Kelce wore custom Christian Louboutin shoes.

As of Saturday morning, no photos have been released of the wedding or the famous couple.

The celebrity guest list

By about 4:30 on Friday afternoon, traffic was apparently backed up throughout midtown Manhattan as a steady stream of black SUVs pulled up at a marquee erected at the entrance of Madison Square Garden. The protocol: Drive up to the marquee, show your phone to the security guards, then get waved through the curtains.

The 1,100 black-tie-clad guests included an eclectic mix of celebrities: Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs teammates, Swift’s best friends — Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid, Zoë Kravitz, Lena Dunham — as well as Hugh Grant, Stephen Colbert and Tom Brady. A-listers Jennifer Lopez, Brad Pitt, Gracie Abrams, Reese Witherspoon and Canadian star Tate McRae also attended the celebration.

Ethan Hawke arrives at Madison Square Garden on July 3.

At one point — fuelled by a quip by Prince William himself — it looked like the Prince and Princess of Wales might attend the wedding. That didn’t occur, but Prince William was the surprise guest on Friday’s episode of New Heights, the hit podcast Kelce has with his brother Jason.

Stevie Nicks performed at the wedding

On Saturday, “Good Morning America” hosts Robin Roberts, Michael Strahan and George Stephanopoulos — who all attended the wedding — said that Stevie Nicks performed at the celebration.

Swift and Nicks are longtime friends. In 2024, Nicks wrote a poem called “For T — and me,” for Swift’s album “The Tortured Poets Department.”

It was rumoured that Paul McCartney would also take the stage at the wedding. The New York Times reported that Swift may have done a sound-check with McCartney on Friday morning, but this has not been confirmed.

Lobster, fries and a blush red carpet

Based on the food glimpsed being loaded into the venue, the menu may have included french fries, chicken wings and lobster sourced from a Quebec-based purveyor, Les Fruits de Mer Madeleine.

Crews hung blush pink drapes to block out curious eyes in the stadium windows and rolled out a “blush” red carpet.

On Friday night, Empire State Building lit up in a shade of violet, reportedly in honour of the bride’s “something blue.”

The Thursday night rehearsal dinner

On Thursday afternoon, a series of SUVs began arriving at Madison Square Garden for the rumoured rehearsal dinner of 100 people. Lena Dunham, Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper were snapped outside the venue, while Swift’s childhood friend Abigail Anderson Berard, long-time collaborator Jack Antonoff and Travis’ aunt and uncle were seen leaving the Ritz-Carlton dressed to the nines.

That party lasted until midnight, and guests left holding favours that appeared to be a box with the couple’s initials engraved on the front, intertwined with hearts.

Page Six had a single, blurry picture of the inside setup, showing apricot-coloured roses and a plethora of greenery. The peachy colour palette was similar to the soft-pink colour that lit the outside of Madison Square Garden last night.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce gave millions to charity ahead of their wedding

Over the last week, Swift and Kelce donated $26 million (U.S.) to more than two dozen charities. In a press release, the couple said that they had given money to philanthropic organizations including City Harvest, New York City; Food Bank For NYC; New York Cares; Los Angeles Regional Food Bank; Harvesters — The Community Food Network, Kansas City, Mo. The exact number of charities is 26, which Swifites know is double the star’s favourite number, 13.

Swift and Kelce confirmed their relationship in September 2023 and announced their engagement in August 2025 with an Instagram post captioned: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”

This article was updated from a previous version that misstated Karlie Kloss’s husband Joshua Kushner’s given name as Jared. He is the younger brother of Jared Kushner.
