
MANILA, Philippines — Filipino top seed Tennielle Madis clobbered No. 6 Emma Lam Singh Maan of Singapore, 6-1, 6-0, Friday to reach the girls' singles semifinal in the ITF J30 Manila 2 at the Rizal Memorial Tennis Center hardcourt.
Madis will be up against No. 5 Gyuree Nam of South Korea, who eliminated No. 4 Pimlaphat Lim of Thailand, 6-4, 6-3.
Filipino Stefi Marithe Aludo, the No. 2 seed, also made it to the Final Four after beating compatriot Jana Jelena Nicole Diaz, 6-3, 6-2.
Aludo will face third seed Seojin Park of South Korea, who prevailed over No. 7 Paweenon Nualsri of Thailand, 6-1, 6-1.
Meanwhile, Madis and Aludo defeated third seeds Lim and Nualsri, 6-4, 6-2, to set up a final meeting with No. 2 Nam and Park, who conquered fourth seeds Pei-Hsuan Chi and Yishan Xu of Chinese Taipei, 6-1, 6-2.
In the boys division, first leg champion Aoi Ishizaki of Japan trounced compatriot Shun Munetoh, 6-3, 6-1, to advance in the semifinal against Ruochen Gao of China.
The second-seeded Gao rallied past No. 6 Kuranosuke Suzuki of Japan, 3-6, 6-1, 6-2.
Top seed Gyeom Do of South Korea beat Lyoma Hotelier of Japan, 7-6 (6), 6-4, to advance against No. Kango Endoh of Japan, who ousted No. 4 Napal Pattanalertphan of Thailand, 6-1, 6-0.
