It can be tough sorting through the shows churned out by the 700,000 streaming services, so we’re bringing you a curated little list of what to watch right now.
Pick of the week
The White Lotus
Mike White has slowly built a sterling career, alternating criminally underrated indie comedies (please watch “Orange County” and “The Good Girl” immediately) and Jack Black crowd-pleasers (“School of Rock,” “Nacho Libre”) with acclaimed HBO series (“Enlightened”). (A reality-TV addict, he also has an intriguing side hustle competing on shows like “The Amazing Race” — twice — and “Survivor.”)
He ascended to mass hysteria status with “The White Lotus,” his smash hit that observes five-star vacays turned deadly in gorgeous locales like Maui and Tuscany. Now, the next batch of repugnant rich folks land in Thailand for Season 3. Who will make it out of their holiday with their sanity and relationships intact and, well, alive?
Potential homicide suspects and victims include a brash Texan family (Jason Isaacs, Parker Posey, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sarah Catherine Hook, Sam Nivola), gossip-prone middle-aged besties (Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Michelle Monaghan), the saintly resort staff (Blackpink pop star Lisa, Tayme Thapthimthong) and a bickering age-gap couple (Walton Goggins, Aimee Lou Wood). Plus, beloved spa professional Belinda (Natasha Rothwell) is back from Season 1! Stream it Sunday on Crave.
