Top Philippine amateur pickleball players to strut stuff at inaugural Nationals

MANILA, Philippines — The local pickleball scene hits a new milestone as the first-ever Philippine Pickleball Amateur Nationals 2026 fires off this weekend at the Tela Park Pickleball Center in Las Pinas.

Sponsored by Skechers Pickleball and sanctioned by the Philippine Pickleball Federation, the three-day tournament will run from March 28 to March 30, gathering the country's top amateur talent to compete for national distinction.

The event aims to solidify the Philippines' position as a rising hub for pickleball in Southeast Asia, featuring a diverse range of categories spanning ages 19+ to 60+ across multiple skill levels.

The Philippine Pickleball Federation is the governing body dedicated to the growth, development, and regulation of pickleball within the Philippines, fostering a community of inclusivity and competitive excellence.

The Mixed Doubles division will begin on Day 1, March 28, with the 8:30 a.m. session featuring high-intensity 4.5 skill level matches. Meanwhile, the 60+ Open category takes center stage in the afternoon.

On Day 2, March 29, Men’s & Women’s Doubles will be held, featuring a high concentration of Women’s Doubles categories and the Men's 4.5 elite amateur brackets starting at 1 p.m.

The Singles Championship will be staged on the final day, March 30, with inaugural national titles at stake. The tournament will conclude with the 19+ and 35+ championship rounds in the afternoon.
