U-19 national softball tilt slated April in Batangas
Meanwhile, the Philippine Blu Girls have finished fourth in the recent Women’s Softball Asia Cup in China. They were set to battle for third place, but inclement weather forced the cancellation of the playoffs. The organizers relied instead on the final team standings, and the Philippines unfortunately was fourth, a spot short of qualifying outright for the World Cup. Nevertheless, the team, supported mightily by Cebuana Lhuillier, is optimistic that things will get even better.

MANILA, Philippines — With an aim of discovering future national team members, the Amateur Softball Association of the Philippines stages the Men’s Under-18 National Softball Championships slated April 6-11 in Brgy. Libjo, Batangas City.

The six-day competition is expected to draw the best young talents from across the country with the best and brightest earning a shot at making it to the Philippine team pool.

“The U18 Men’s Softball National Championship continues to play a crucial role in discovering and nurturing the next generation of Filipino softball players,” said ASAPHIL head and sponsoring Cebuana Lhuillier chief executive officer Jean Henri Lhuillier.

“Through competitions like this, we are able to strengthen the foundation of the sport while giving young athletes the opportunity to grow, compete, and represent the Philippines in the future,” he added.
