The concert “Bagong Mundo: Mga Bayani at Kampeon,” is dedicated to acknowledge the “new world” or new normal because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The event will also commemorate loved ones who died from Covid-19.

Moreover, it will be a celebration of the historic championship win of the UP Men’s basketball in the Season 84 of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) tournaments and observance of the Philippine Independence Day.

UP said the event is free and open to the public with limited seating availability.

Attendees are reminded to wear face masks and observe social distancing.

Likewise, a vaccination card may be checked upon entry.

The UPSO concert will feature soprano Lara Maigue and tenor Ervin Lumauag, both UP College of Music graduates with special appearances of the world-renowned Philippine Madrigal Singers, also known as The Madz, and the UP Singing Ambassadors. (Luisa Cabato)
