Vintage bomb blast hurts 7

CAPAS CITY, TARLAC – Seven people were injured after a vintage bomb exploded in Barangay Sta. Juliana of this town on Saturday afternoon.

According to the Capas Municipal Police Station, the victims were identified as James Laxamana, 30; Nigel Laxamana 10; Jackilyn Laxamana, 30; Marilou Laxamana, 50; Jerson Laxamana, 11; Arleen Salazar 24; and Donna Torio, 53.

All victims are residents of the said barangay.

The report stated that James Laxamana found a vintage bomb in Crow Valley and brought it back to their house. He then tried to dismantle the vintage bomb along with his son Nigel using a hammer.

The bomb accidentally exploded, with both James and Nigel sustaining serious injuries and were rushed to Ospital Ning Capas. The other victims who were within the vicinity were sent to the Tarlac Provincial Hospital.
