MANILA — Viva Artists Agency on Friday filed a lawsuit against Nadine Lustre before the Quezon City Regional Trial Court over an alleged breach of contract.
The legal complaint stems from Lustre’s alleged violation of her “valid and existing agency and management contract,” Viva said in a statement sent to ABS-CBN News.
According to Viva, Lustre contracted independently with advertisers, promoters, and other third parties, disregarding her exclusive contract with the talent agency.
The lawsuit seeks to stop Lustre from “continuously violating” her contract with Viva.
“Ms. Lustre should honor and respect the sanctity of contracts,” said Atty. Chino Roxas, Viva Artists Agency’s legal counsel.
“Third parties are put on notice that any direct dealings with Ms. Lustre for her services as a performing artist or endorser shall be in violation of Ms. Lustre’s contract with VAA.” — Report from MJ Felipe, ABS-CBN News
