Well-liked showbiz PR practitioner passes on

Almeda Garcia, better know in the industry as Almed, passed away at the age of 65 on January 17.

Garcia graduated in 1979 with a degree in Journalism from Lyceum of the Philippines University.

She worked as writer for the PR outfit of Bibsy Carballo before joining Boy Abunda's Backroom as PR Director.

According to loved ones, Garcia lived life to the fullest.

“She love fiercely, giving strength and protection to everyone she held dear. She was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, friend and colleague. She will forever be cherished by those who knew her,” part of her obituary read.
