What fuels Piolo Pascual

For three decades in the entertainment industry, Piolo Pascual became one of the most respected and well-loved actors in the Philippines who is known for his numerous iconic films and series. But apart from his professionalism, Pascual's down-to-earth nature makes it easy for people to relate to him.

A hard worker, an active person, a traveler and someone who looks for quality and security, the 46-year-old disclosed that his fuel in pursuing a lot of passions is his drive to give his best in everything that he does.

“I just don't like compromising. I always give it my best in everything that I do, and I always like to improve. When everything comes your way, you have to think of how to innovate and how to improve on what you can offer, that is something new and different,” Pascual explained.

“It also pays to be distinct, and I guess being 100 percent in your performance only goes to show your character,” he added.

Recently, Pascual was tapped by Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation as their new ambassador. For him, this partnership represents quality, service and reaching as many Filipinos as possible —values that are important to him and what makes him completely confident of the brand.

During the launch of Shell V-Power, Pascual expressed his excitement saying, “I've been a long-time user, and this collaboration is a perfect pairing for me. I always choose Shell and for me, I won't settle for anything less. I'm looking forward to representing Shell V-Power and encouraging every Filipino to try this new formulation. It's 100 percent or nothing,” he said.

Currently, Pascual is living a simple life in Batangas — a place where he spends almost all of his free time to relax away from the lights and the busyness of the urban living. A serene place to wake up to, his rest house is surrounded by the mountain and sea.

But of course, being the bankable star that he is, Pascual needs to show up in every work opportunity in the city as much as possible. A car owner and a motorcycle driver, he makes sure that whatever he use is protected much like his body.

“I'm on the road everyday. I live in the province so I have to make sure that my car is performing well. Sometimes I drive alone so it's hard when you're not sure about the car or the gas that you're using. So, to be able to make sure that you can confidently drive long drives, choose the best,” Pascual said.

“Since I'm always on the road, I make sure that everything is really organized, and I choose the right fuel and use the right car. Just like my body, like myself and my career, I take care of my car. That's what's good about taking care of not just yourself but the car you are using,” he continued.

Finally, when asked about an advice he can give to the young who wanted to last long in the things that they wanted to do, Pascual shared, “It's hard to talk for other people because we don't know what situation they are in. But just take care of your body, eat healthy. Same thing as taking care of your car. If you want your car to last long, you have to learn how to use it properly.”
