A new Filipina beauty will be crowned on May 2

MANILA, Philippines — A new Miss Universe Philippines will be crowned this Friday, May 2, at 6 pm, along with other queens who will compete in different prestigious pageants this year.

Held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, 66 candidates representing different cities and islands of the Philippines will compete for the most coveted pageant title in the country.

Ticket prices for the live show range from P500 to 10,590 and can be bought via the SM Tickets website. Other prices are as follows:

  • VIP – P10,590
  • Lower Box Premium – P5,270
  • Lower Box Regular – P3,730
  • Upper Box – P1,600
  • General Admission – P550

Viewers can also enjoy the pageant at home throughEmpire Ph’s live stream via their YouTube channel.

Delayed telecasts will also air on May 4 at 9 am on GMA and at 8 pm on GTV.

The preliminary competition of the event was held last Tuesday, April 29, where the candidates made their initial introduction to the viewers through a battle of grace and wits.

Ahead of the coronation night, the Charity Gala Night and National Costume Showcase will be on April 30, where candidates can highlight Filipino creativity and feature their advocacies.

Miss Universe Philippines 2024 Chelsea Manalo will be crowning her successor on coronation night on May 2.

She will be joined by Miss Universe 2024 Victoria Kjær Theilvig of Denmark, along with other continental queens, Chidimma Adetshina from Nigeria (Africa & Oceania), Matilda Wirtavuori from Finland (Europe & the Middle East), and Tatiana Calmell from Peru (Americas). – with reports from Kevin Ian Lampayan/Rappler.com
