Jeniel “Yellyhaze” Bata-anon is not only providing the veteran leadership but also the calming presence for Nexplay Evos especially during the crucial moments of the game.

That was also in full display on Saturday, Sept. 10 as the NXPE picked up a crucial 2-1 reverse sweep win over fellow cellar dweller TNC that snapped the team’s six-game losing streak.

The silent but deadly 26-year-old midlaner also led by example especially in Game 2 of their series against TNC where he landed the timely Dawning Light ultimate on his Xavier that took out Robee “Yasuwo” Pormicille’s Popol and Kupa after it was pinned down by Ken Louie “Kzen” Pile’s Akai.

Yellyhaze finished with a stellar 8-2-5 line in that series equalizing 16-11 come-from-behind win in the second game before following it up with a 2-1-2 line on his Julian in the Tigers 6-4 win in Game 3.

Yellyhaze added his confidence with the team never wavered even during that losing spell, noting that the management and the rest of the team have been behind their backs even during those struggles.

“Nakakaramdam po kami ng pressure kasi simula nung first half puro talo kami tapos ngayong second half need na namin magbawi for payoffs,” said Haze.
