Carlos Yulo added one more medal to his golden haul after ruling the men’s vault final in the 31st Southeast Asian Games at the Quan Ngua Sports Palace in Hanoi, Vietnam Monday, May 16.
Yulo soared his way to capture his fourth gold medal in this year’s regional biennial meet and pulled away for good with a score of 14.700.
Thailand’s Tikumporn Suritornta followed suit with silver with 14.250 while Yulo’s teammate, Juancho Miguel Besana, settled for bronze with 14.017.
The 22-year-old Yulo has now surpassed his 2019 SEA Games performance here in the Philippines, where he reigned supreme in the all-around and floor exercise and clinched silver medals in the pommel horse, still rings, vault, and parallel bars.
The country’s top gymnast sucessfully defended his all-around and floor exercise titles before dominating the still rings event.
