ZAMBOANGA CITY – The city has registered a total of 8,324 recoveries from the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) as of June 3, reflecting a recovery rate of 80.2 percent.
Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar reiterated her call Friday to strictly adhere to health and safety protocols despite the increase of Covid-19 recoveries.
“The compliance of health and safety protocols is the most effective measure to prevent the spread of the virus,” Salazar said.
Based on its Covid-19 data tracker, the city has 10,380 confirmed cases with 1,635 active cases and 421 deaths.
Data showed 7,357 of the 8,324 recoveries were community-related.
A breakdown of the recoveries are as follows: detainees – 131; authorized persons outside residence (APOR) – 141; locally stranded individuals (LSIs) – 348; Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) – 66; Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) personnel – 48; returning residents from Malaysia (RRFM) – three; returning overseas Filipinos – 25; and BJMP detainees or Persons Deprived of Liberty – 205.
Of the total active cases, 1,581 were community-related or acquired through community transmission; 25 are detainees; 16 are APOR; 10 are LSIs; one BuCor personnel; one BJMP personnel; and one RRFM.
The data also showed that of the 421 deaths, 414 were community-related; three were detainees; one was an LSI; and three were ROFs. (PNA)
