2 witnesses in case of missing Batangas beauty queen surface

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna – Two witnesses have come forward and relayed valuable information to the police on the disappearance of beauty queen Catherine Camilon in Batangas last month.

Police Regional Office 4-A chief Police Brig. Gen. Paul Kenneth Lucas said these two witnesses willingly provided their sworn statements to the Special Investigation and Tracker Team Camilon which are expected to play a crucial role in uncovering the truth about her disappearance.

“Their information is very vital to assist the SITT-Camilon in the ongoing investigation on Camilon’s disappearance,” Lucas said.

These two witnesses said on the night of October 12, they passed by Santa Catalina Subdivision going to Bauan, Batangas on board a motorcycle from a friend’s house.

They decided to stop on the side of the road to relieve themselves and saw three men transferring a female body

from a gray Nissan Juke into a red Honda Sports Utility Vehicle.

They added that one of the men confronted them at gunpoint and ordered them to leave the area immediately.

The witnesses identified the man after a series of questions and presentations of several pictures, including the person of interest and his known associates.

“They also identified the Nissan Juke used by the victim on the day of her disappearance as the same vehicle they saw that night, including the red Honda SUV,” Lucas added.

Lucas said that the involvement and cooperation of the witnesses are expected to contribute significantly to the ongoing efforts to locate Camilon.

The PRO 4-A reassured the community and the family of Camilon that every possible resource and effort are being invested to resolve this case and bring closure to the incident.

“The information provided by these concerned citizens is a valuable step forward in pursuing truth and justice,” said Lucas.

He encouraged the public to continue cooperating and provide any information or tips that may assist in resolving the case.

A massive lookout is underway for the Nissan Juke and the Honda SUV.
