Struggling to find his mark in his first few games with Shinshu, Abarrientos finally displayed the streaky shooting that won him the Rookie of the Year in the Korean Basketball League, dropping 24 points spiked by six triples along with three rebounds, four assists and two steals.

The Brave Warriors, more importantly, pulled off a 83-79 victory over the Toyama Grouses to pick up their fourth win in seven games. AJ Edu had nine points and eight rebounds as his team remained in search of its first win.

Ravena, on the other hand, saw limited minutes as San-En dropped a narrow 75-73 decision, ending B.League’s longest win streak so far in the season. He only had a point, three rebounds, an assists and a steal to show after playing just 11 minutes in the loss

Other Filipino imports picked up victories but hardly made their presence felt.

Ray Parks could only muster four points, two rebounds and two assists although the Nagoya Diamond Dolphins managed to end a three-game slide with a 94-78 win over Gunma Crane Thunders.

Carl Tamayo also failed to breach double figures with only seven points to show but enough to help Ryukyu Golden Kings repel Osaka Evessa, 94-76.

Similarly, Dwight Ramos only had two points and a rebound across his name after playing for only 12 minutes in Levanga Hokkaido’s second straight win, a 77-62 triumph over the Nagoya Fighting Eagles.

Not as fortunate, however, was Matthew Wright who finished with eight points, three rebounds and three assists but were not enough as the Kyoto Hannaryz bowed to the Kai Sotto-less Hiroshima, 85-75.

Also yet to see action this season just like Sotto was Jordan Heading whose Nagsaki Velca fell to Ibaraki Robots 92-88.

Over at the B2 League, Kiefer Ravena remained solid for the Shiga Lakes, putting up nine points, three rebounds and two assists in their 71-67 conquest of the Kobe Stokes.
