ABBA is a pop band formed in Stockholm, Sweden in 1972 by Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad. The group's name is an acronym of the first letters of their first names arranged as a palindrome. The popularity of the group and its songs found decades of long echoes in tributes and musicals and movies such as “Mamma Mia!”
