Save for the liberos, every Cool Smasher scored in the contest with Tots Carlos leading the way with 15 points on 13 attacks, one block and one service ace.

Jema Galanza put up 10 markers while Ced Domingo added eight points.

Jia de Guzman dished out 12 excellent sets laced with five points as birthday girl Alyssa Valdez and Bernadeth Pons added four points apiece in their Pool A match.

“We got off to a slow start but we were able to recover. The players really contributed. We're happy that we got this win,” said Creamline head coach Sherwin Meneses.

After a competitive first set, the Cool Smashers flexed their championship strength as they raced to a 9-1 start in the second set and never looked back.

The story was practically the same in the third frame as Pons and Jeanette Panaga delivered the killer blows to seal the win for Creamline, which is set for a 13-day break.

In their return, the Cool Smashers will face the PLDT High Speed Hitters on July 13. The Defenders will likewise return on July 13 as they take on the Chery Tiggo Crossovers.
