Dubai awaits Acer’s eco-tech reveal at the COP28 conference

Acer’s alignment with the themes of the COP28 climate conference is evident in its upcoming Global Press Conference in Dubai scheduled for Wednesday, December 6. The company plans to showcase its innovative technology concepts under the theme “Conscious Technology for a Brighter Tomorrow.” These concepts are designed to benefit both people and the planet, reflecting Acer’s commitment to eco-solutions and long-term sustainability.

Acer’s dedication to sustainable practices includes its 2025 Sustainability Goals, which aim to use 60% renewable electricity and reduce computer energy consumption by 45%. By 2035, Acer plans to use 100% renewable electricity and aims to achieve net zero emissions by 2050. The company focuses on the environmental impact at every stage of its product lifecycle.

Among Acer’s sustainable product offerings is the Vero range, an eco-friendly line made from recycled materials that maintains high performance and quality standards. Additionally, Acer promotes responsible device disposal and less technology waste through a laptop and battery recycling initiative. They also offer the Acer ebii, an AI-powered smart bike with a lightweight frame and efficient motor designed for an environmentally friendly urban commute.

Acer’s recent Global Press Conference in April showcased the company’s commitment to sustainability and innovative technology. The central theme, “creating a sustainable living environment for all,” was echoed by CEO Jason Chen, highlighting the balance between technology and nature. This year’s conference emphasized Acer’s dedication to enhancing the integration of our virtual and physical lives, using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to improve medical intelligence, health and fitness, and eco-friendly computing.
