Filipino tennis sensation Alexandra “Alex” Eala has graduated from the Rafa Nadal Academy in Spain.
The 18-year-old world number 2 in the International Tennis Federation (ITF) junior rankings shared graduation stories from members of her family on Thursday.
She was also seen in the academy's Instagram reel, with tennis star Rafael Nadal, the founder of the school, speaking at the podium.
“Really to be where you are today is because you have made an effort, you have believed in yourselves, I think you have achieved one of the first goals, which is to graduate,” Nadal said in Spanish during a speech to the graduates. “I personally am very proud of you. I am sure that all the people who have been by your side this time, too. Congratulations.”
Eala was fresh off a quarterfinals appearance at the W25 Madrid in Spain before her graduation.
She currently ranks at number 228 in the Women's Tennis Association (WTA).
