Flash floods hit Metro Manila following downpour

FLASH floods hit parts of Metro Manila following a downpour on Saturday, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said.

The following areas are flooded as of posting time, according to the MMDA public information office:

Ortigas flyover NB on ramp – 6 inches

Edsa gate 3 Aguinaldo – 14 inches

Santolan NB Edsa flyover on ramp – Gutter deep

Araneta/ E. Rodriguez – 5 inches

Edsa Balintawak NB – 4 inches

España – Antipolo – 6 inches (half gutter)

España- Dela Fuente – 8 inches (gutter)

España – Antipolo – 17 inches (knee)

Edsa SB Panay Ave towards Mo. Ignacia – 8 inches (gutter)

Edsa NB Centris – 8 inches (gutter)

Espana Vicente Cruz – 8 inches (gutter)

Edsa Centris NB – 10 inches (half knee)

Espana dela Fuente – 12 inches (half tire)

East Ave – National Kidney – 13 inches (half tire)

Edsa NB After Gate 3 Camp Aguinaldo – 19 inches (knee deep)

Edsa NB After Gate 3 Camp Aguinaldo – subsided

According to MMDA, traffic enforcers were deployed in the affected areas.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that two low pressure areas (LPA) are being monitored inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
