(UPDATE) PREMIER Volleyball League (PVL) side Choco Mucho Flying Titans will represent the Philippines at the 2023 VTV Cup in Vietnam.
The team made the announcement on Monday, confirming their participation, with coach Dante Alinsunurin also posting on his Facebook page on Wednesday.
Choco Mucho was 2-2 in the preliminary rounds of the PVL invitational conference and finished in 7th place after defeating the Chery Tiggo Crossovers in three sets last July 22.
It will be among seven teams that will be taking part at the tournament, alongside two Vietnamese national teams and five guest teams.
Choco Mucho is among the five guest teams that included the national teams of Australia and Mongolia, Kansai University in Japan, and Suwon City in South Korea.
The VTV Cup will take place at Lao Cai in Vietnam on August 19 to 26 and will be the first tournament staged since the Covid-19 pandemic.
