Iwa Moto mourns death of ex Mickey Ablan’s daughter Yzabel

MANILA, Philippines — Actress-model Iwa Moto is mourning the passing of Yzabel Ablan, the daughter of her ex-husband Mickey from another relationship.

The 20-year-old Yzabel passed away last October 8 due to sudden heart failure and lung infection, as announced by host-actress and Mickey's current partner Janna Dominguez.

Iwa married Mickey in October 2009 only to go their separate ways nearly two years later, but in that time, Iwa doted on the young Yzabel whom she considered her first-born despite not being her biological mother.

Upon learning about Yzabel's death, Iwa posted on Instagram a Reel composed of her photos with her "little butterfly" Yzabel.

"Still can’t find words to say other than I love you so much and I will miss you. See you in my dreams my little warrior… watch over us anak. Mommy loves you so much," Iwa said in that post's caption.

A day later, Iwa shared another reel with even more photos with Yzabel, explaining in her more profound caption how close they were.

"I know in my heart na mahal na mahal ko siya kahit di ako ang nag-luwal sa kanya sa mundong to," Iwa said. "Siya ang 1st ko sa madaming bagay. Tinuruan nya akong maging mommy. Maging patient, she always tells me that to be fully happy I have to learn to forgive… and she is a survivor."

The actress-model praised Yzabel for touching so many lives and for always keeping in touch with despite never seeing each other in person.

"I wish I could have spent more time with you. I'm sorry if I fail[ed] you anak. Sorry sa mga pagkakamali ko. Tandaan mo anak na sobrang mahal ka ni mommy. See you in my dreams anak," Iwa ended.

Iwa has two children of her own, Hiromi and Caleb, with Pampi Lacson. She is also a stepmother to Pampi's — son of former Sen. Ping Lacson — child with Jodi Sta. Maria, Thirdy.
