John Arcilla — from Volvi Cup to ‘SpinGo’

In a surprising turn of events, the critically acclaimed actor John Arcilla has stepped into an entirely new role — hosting a new and thrilling game show on TV5 titled SpinGo.

Bearing witness to yet another milestone in the actor's illustrious career, TV5 proudly presented Philippine Cinema's “Heneral” in a revolutionary game show titled “SpinGo.”

The critically-acclaimed actor has an entirely new role: game show host.

Set to premiere on September 11, Arcilla steps into the spotlight as the charismatic host in a tantalizing fusion of entertainment, strategy, and immersive engagement.

“Hosting a game show like 'SpinGo.' is something utterly new for me,” Arcilla revealed in an interview Wednesday.

With a hint of excitement evident in his voice, he added, “I'm known to be an actor who portrays all kinds of roles in theater, on TV, and in the movies, but this is the first time I'll be interacting live with contestants and audiences taking their chances to win a fortune. This is a big challenge for me, but simultaneously, I am excited to explore my capacities in TV hosting.”

“SpinGo,” which has the tagline “Sa bawat spin, go for the win!” reinvents the beloved Filipino pastime of Bingo. This innovative game show promises thrilling moments and allows viewers to win substantial prizes.

Through the SpinGo app, available on the Google Play Store, audiences can actively participate from the comfort of their homes, adding an exciting twist to the traditional TV game show experience.

Joining Arcilla to guide contestants through the twists and turns of Spingo is co-host Spingorgeous Girl Sam.

Beginning Monday, September 11, viewers can join in on the thrill of TV's newest game show at 5:30 p.m., exclusively on TV5.
