Lacuna-Pangan said during the distribution held in District 3 on Monday, Dec. 4, the city government is right on schedule, and they guarantee that all of the 695,000 families in the city will receive their food boxes on the dates they promised.

The mayor, together with Manila Vice Mayor John Marvin Yul Servo-Nieto, Congressman Joel Chua, and Councilor Fa Fugoso, announced that they have already distributed the food boxes to 339 out of 896 barangays in the city on the fourth day of distribution.

Just like in 2022, the lady mayor also allotted the first 12 days of December this year to distribute Christmas boxes, as she wants to ensure that all families in the city will be able to put food on their tables on Christmas day.

As the city government planned, they called the food box distribution period “12 days of Christmas,” which each contains a spaghetti pack, cheese, milk, canned goods, and rice.

The distribution began on Dec. 1, and it is divided into 12 days in four districts every day, with two in the morning and two in the afternoon.

She said that given the total number of families who already received their Christmas boxes, she assured that all the food boxes would have been given to the intended beneficiaries on Dec. 12.
