The Faculty of Arts and Letters (Artlets) of the University of Santo Tomas (UST) commemorated its 0oth anniversary and paid homage to the distinguished Class of 1974 during their Golden Jubilee Homecoming. Under the leadership of the Golden Jubilee Homecoming committee chairperson Joel Macanaya alongside members Wilma Palafox, Lena Vergara, lawyer Cecile Pesayco, Nestor Cuartero, Flora Saballa and Michael O’Connor, everyone looked forward to a weekend of reminiscences and reconnections. The festivities commenced with a heartfelt thanksgiving Mass held at the Santissimo Rosario Parish (popularly known as the UST Chapel) inside the campus compound with Fr. The evening’s highlight was the turnover of funds as donation of the Jubilarians to the Adopt-an Artlets Scholarship Fund (AASF) to aid graduating students of the college. Also in attendance during this wonderful affair were several noted UST alumni including Ar. Jun Palafox and The Manila Hotel president and director lawyer Joey Lina. Indeed, these remarkable events stand as a testament to the rich legacy of Artlets at UST.
