Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez inspected the city’s two cemeteries – Himlayang Palanyag and Parañaque Catholic Cemetery on Tuesday, Oct. 31, to ensure the peaceful observance of Undas or All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day.

Olivarez was joined by his brother, Rep. Edwin Olivarez, and sister, newly elected barangay chairwoman Eva Olivarez of Barangay San Dionisio.

The city officials distributed bottled water to those who were visiting their departed relatives.

The mayor said the visit was conducted to ensure that the first aid stations, police help desk, and other assistance desks were in place to immediately respond to any emergency.

Olivarez said the incident management team of the Disaster Risk and Management Office (DRRMO) was deployed, including some personnel from the city government, to ensure the safety of the public.

He also reminded the public to follow the guidelines issued by the city government inside the cemetery for a peaceful observance of Undas 2023.
