PH Pride: Uratex now a record holder for ‘Largest Human Mattress Domino’

Another reason to celebrate as Philippine mattress manufacturer Uratex accomplished a remarkable feat. They secured the Guinness World Records for the longest and largest human mattress domino. This achievement surpasses the previous record set in Brazil in 2019, which involved only 2,019 participants.

This took place on Sunday, Oct.22, 202 at the SMX, Mall of Asia. Naty Cheng, CEO and president of Uratex Philippines, shared that they used a total of 2,355 Classic Uratex Single (36 x 75 inch) mattresses to create the longest human mattress dominoes.

She also mentioned that Mai McMillan from Guinness Record Japan will assess whether they were able to break the 20-minute human dominoes.

The success of this endeavor was made possible with the help of over 4,000 Uratex employees and volunteers from various charitable institutions who joined forces to form the mattress dominoes.

Following the attempt, a photo was shared on Instagram by Bigboy Cheng, showing him and the other participants proudly holding the certificate of confirmation that confirms Uratex’s achievement of the largest human mattress dominoes.

He also shared that the 2,355 beds will be donated to 55 charities.

“We Made it! Uratex at 55!!! World Record! All beds will be donated to 55 Charities,” he wrote.

Eddie Gallor, Executive Vice President for Automotive shared to MB that, “Teamwork is what made us last for 55 years, and by collectively striving to set a world record for the largest human mattress dominoes, each individual plays a crucial role in achieving this feat,” adding, “And because Uratex is dedicated to giving back to various charitable causes, surpassing a Guinness World Record serves as a meaningful avenue towards making this philanthropic endeavor a reality.”
