It was a night of giving at the Royal York Hotel on Oct. 21, where the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre held its second annual One Life Gala. Some 300 guests attended the event, sponsored by CI Assante Wealth Management Circle of Giving Advisors, where prominent cancer survivors Jeanne Beker, Susan Hodkinson and Peter Shier gave speeches to support Canada’s largest cancer charity. Dr. Draw, Miles Raine and Elise LeGrow provided entertainment for the evening, which raised more than $460,000 for the early detection of cancer.
