Rolling Gum is on a roll!

Filipino alternative rock band Criminal Cinema (CC) has released the music video for their original song “Apple.” Written and directed by Gayle Oblea, it features band members Kelvin, Clark, Anthony, and Sam, along with Emma Rouge.

The launch was held at Balcony Music House, with acts such as One Click Straight, Nemic, CHNDTR, Halina, Figvre, and Jethro performing in support of their fellow artists.

CC heads the eclectic lineup of artists under Rolling Gum, a young production and talent management company aiming to promote raw talent. The rest of the roster includes filmmakers, recording artists, producers and other traditional artists, brought together to form a group that transcends convention.

This synergy is a hallmark of Rolling Gum's approach and is vividly showcased in Criminal Cinema's music video.

“Expect the quality of the music videos we create for our artists, like Criminal Cinema, to consistently exceed the industry standard,” promised Oblea, who also leads the management group.

At the same event, Oblea further announced that the Bobapalooza Music Festival, which they successfully debuted last February, is ready for a 2024 reprise.

“Bobapalooza became a massive success when we announced the lineup last year. [Held at the Circuit Makati Event Grounds] SM even noted that we are the only sold-out concert among all the music festivals [so far mounted this year,” Oblea proudly shared.

Among the acts that performed in the maiden edition were Parokya ni Edgar, Kamikazee, The Itchyworms, Ebe Dancel, Mayonnaise, December Avenue, Franco, Urbandub, Join The Club, Tanya Markova, and Kitchie Nadal, among others.

“We're aiming to achieve the same level of success next year. We're bringing in international acts but cannot reveal their names yet. We want to keep it a secret to ensure everyone is surprised when we finally make the announcement,” promised Oblea.

The second edition of Bobapalooza is scheduled for February 24 and 25, 2024, at the Filinvest City Events Grounds, Alabang, Muntinlupa City.
