Social media star Jayson ‘Boss Toyo’ Luzadas joins Blvck Entertainment

Jayson Luzadas, better known in social media as Boss Toyo, continues to test new creative territories as he signs up with entertainment production and artist management company Blvck Entertainment.

Since 2017, Luzadas has been an active social media content creator and influencer. His social media presence is quite impressive, with 471k followers on Facebook, 383k subscribers on his YouTube channel, Boss Toyo Production, and 85k followers on TikTok under the username sitoyotohmahmen.

One of his notable online shows is “Pinoy Pawn Stars,” inspired by the popular series “Pawn Stars” on the History Channel. This adaptation aims to highlight not only the valuable possessions artists have acquired through their hard work but also the artists themselves who have made a name for themselves in the industry.

Boss Toyo is also known for his advocacy program called “Sugod Bahay,” where he visits different barangays in Metro Manila, providing entertainment and surprises to the residents.

Additionally, he is the producer of Geng Geng Network, a direct-to-Facebook channel that features various programs such “Battle of the Geng-Geng,” a game show inspired by “Family Feud.” Luzadas' initiatives are aimed at helping and entertaining people.

The social media celebrity is also an entrepreneur at heart. From starting as a watch reseller, with meager profit, he is now a proud owner of his own clothing line called Toyo Wear.

Now, the question is, why did he explore music when he has already established a strong presence in social media and when his businesses are thriving?

“When I was younger, I would watch the MTV channel and would see how the American rappers would flex the wealth they amassed from their music. I remember telling myself that someday I would have that kind of lifestyle,” the sure and confident Boss Toyo said in the vernacular during his media conference.

Boss Toyo's creative, witty and spontaneous personality, combined with his passion for life, convinced the heads of Blvck Entertainment, husband-and-wife engineers Louie and Grace Cristobal, to sign him as a Blvck artist.

“We firmly believe that our collaboration with Boss Toyo can lead to the creation of unique and intriguing content, particularly in the realm of music. With Boss Toyo's infectious good vibes, something extraordinary, significant, and exciting is bound to happen within the company,” the Cristobals said.

As for Boss Toyo, the offer was his opportunity to satisfy his younger self.

“I grabbed the opportunity to make one of my childhood dreams come true. I don't want to have regrets later in life. Might as well try since the opportunity presented itself,” the 42 year-old said.

Although Boss Toyo considers himself a newcomer to the music industry, he has already released two songs on various music streaming platforms. His friendship with fellow hip-hop artists like Flow G, Honcho, and King Badger inspired him to venture into rap music.

His goal is to create more songs because he firmly believes in the powerful influence that music holds over people.

Meanwhile, Boss Toyo's latest single, “Rap Lord,” marks his first release under Blvck Music. The music and lyrics were crafted by engineer Louie Cristobal and Romel Afable, with JG Beats serving as the Beat Producer.

“I chose that title, not to be boastful. It's just me, an aspiring rapper trying to imagine myself in the shoes of my really good rapper friends. It's me sending my hopes out there that I can be just as good as them when it comes to music,” Boss Toyo clarified.

“Rap Lord” is now available on digital streaming platforms while its accompanying music video, directed by Edrex Sanchez, is now available on Blvck Entertainment's YouTube channel.
