Sotto suffers back injury, held scoreless in final Summer League game

Filipino prospect Kai Sotto was held scoreless in the final NBA Summer League game of the Orlando Magic which fell to the Boston Celtics, 77-94, at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sunday morning, July 16 (Manila time).

Sotto, 21, played a little more than eight minutes on the floor in the first half but checked out with five minutes left in the second frame due to a back injury and never returned.

The 7-foot-3 cager shot 0-of-3 from the field, grabbed two rebounds and handed one assist. He also committed two turnovers as the Magic finished the Summer League with a 0-5 record.
