TNT adds another Hollis-Jefferson to boost EASL campaign

It seems like one Hollis-Jefferson is not enough to lead TNT to its first win in the East Asia Super League so the team is adding another one to bolster its campaign.

The Tropang Giga signed Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson, the older brother of their resident import Rondae, as they continue their search for the elusive first win in the home-and-away regional tournament.

Rahlir is taking the place of Quincy Miller as Rondae’s running mate following a 0-4 start to the season.

The Hollis-Jefferson brothers get their first shot at sharing the court as part of the Tropang Giga when the Philippine representative hosts Taiwan’s Taipei Braves on Dec. 20 in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

Just like his younger brother, Rahlir is expected to bring in the experience and talent having already played around the globe in Canada, Finland and the NBA G-League.

With the move, the Tropang Giga hope to follow the footsteps of the other PBA team in the EASL, the Meralco Bolts who finally scored their breakthrough win after a 97-88 stunner over Japan B. League champion Ryukyu Golden Kings.

The Hollis-Jeffersons, however, would need plenty of help from their local crew if they wish to get even to the Braves who dealt them a 106-97 defeat in their first meeting.
