Viewers can now embark on a weekend adventure with “Amazing Earth” as it airs every Friday at 9:35 p.m.

Dingdong Dantes, who has been a driving force behind the show's success, expressed his excitement for the new time slot, saying in Tagalog, “Your weekend adventure will now start with Amazing Earth every Friday night. We will set your mood for the weekend because Amazing Earth talks about adventure, planet, animals, inspiring stories, and many more. So just by that, they will already have ideas about what they can do when the weekend comes, having been inspired by the stories.”

Reflecting on the past five years, the 42-year-old actor-TV host has cherished his time with “Amazing Earth,” narrating tales of the animal kingdom and the beauty of the planet.

“Imagine, it's already been five years. To be honest, we didn't even feel that it's been five years. It always feels like day one whenever we are together on set because our stories are always so fresh. Because, truth be told, we genuinely love traveling to far-off places,” Dantes said.

The actor-host said “Amazing Earth” is more than just a television show but also a tool for him to instill valuable lessons in his children about environmental stewardship.

“Of course, the most important thing is leadership by example. Right here at home, I make sure to show them what's right and what's not. It's essential to be honest and open, so when the kids ask questions, you can explain things properly. I believe one of the strengths of Amazing Earth is the way we tell stories about animals and nature,” he shared.

“These topics are usually very complex, but we manage to make them interesting by localizing the narratives and comparing them to human experiences. Through this approach, we humanize the stories, making it easier for both children and adults to understand,” Dantes continued.

As part of the 5th anniversary celebration, “Amazing Earth” introduces exciting additions to the show's lineup. Viewers can look forward to the presentation of new foreign series titled “Wild Dynasties,” alongside its local version. Additionally, every week, the show will feature various social media personalities who will embark on their own local adventures, showcasing unique stories that touch hearts and inspire change.

“These personalities will embark on their own local adventures that will showcase discoveries. We will compile these and dig deeper into what truly lies behind these stories,” Dantes noted.

Meanwhile, despite the challenges brought by a hectic schedule, Dantes considers his work with “Amazing Earth” and other projects a blessing. Finding joy in his work, he values the time spent with his family and remains committed to fulfilling his responsibilities as a father and husband.

“This is the busiest time in my career, but for me, being busy is a positive thing. What matters most is that I never lose time with my family, and I fulfill my responsibilities properly. And of course, I do all of this happily because I genuinely love what I do, and I have a passion for my job here. It's incredibly fulfilling to share these things, especially through Amazing Earth, and it's also fulfilling to take on different roles. Most importantly, it helps me grow as an artist, and being a part of Amazing Earth as a storyteller also contributes to my growth as a responsible citizen,” Dantes finally said.

Experience the captivating beauty and profound stories of the planet via “Amazing Earth” every Friday at 9:35 p.m. on GMA-7.
