Illegal firecracker maker nabbed in Bulacan

A man involved in manufacturing illegal firecrackers was arrested by the police in Bocaue, Bulacan on Sunday, Dec. 24.

Based on the report submitted to Bulacan Police Director Col. Relly B. Arnedo, a 38-year-old man from Sitio Bihonan, Barangay Biñang 1st, Bocaue, Bulacan was arrested in the act of making illegal firecrackers.

Police stated that the suspect failed to present a license, permit, and other pertinent documents.

Confiscated from him were two pieces of Judas Belt; four packs of Kabase, 10 pieces each pack; four packs of Plapla,10 pieces each pack; 10 pieces of Kingkong, and other paraphernalia for making firecrackers with a total market value of P4,120.

A criminal complaint for violation of Republic Act (RA) 7183, known as “An Act Regulating the Sale, Manufacture and Use of Firecrackers and Other Pyrotechnic Device,” is being prepared against the suspect before the Office of the Provincial Prosecutor Office.

In a separate operation, the tracker team of the City of San Jose Del Monte (CSJDM) police station apprehended “Jemly,” 45, for Large-Scale Illegal Recruitment.

Meanwhile, authorities of San Rafael, Bustos, Hagonoy, and Baliwag City police stations responded to different crime incidents that led to the arrest of five law breakers identified as “Roel,” 28, of San Rafael; “Josell”, 23, of Bustos Heights, Bonga Mayor, Bustos; “Adrian,” 45, of Hagonoy; and “Gerry,” 31, of Brgy. San Roque, San Rafael, all arrested for frustrated homicide.

Moreover, “Arjay,” 18, of Brgy. Catmon, Santa Maria, was arrested for violation of the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act. (RA 7610).
