Pasay LGU launches free flu vaccination for City Hall employees

The local government of Pasay City launched on Friday, Nov. 17 the “Vaccine in the workplace” program that gives free flu vaccination to City Hall employees.

Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the “Vaccine in the workplace” progran is a project of the City Health Office (CHO) aimed of administering flu vaccine to all employees in time of flu season.

“After experiencing the recent pandemic, it is of utmost importance to advocate for the health and wellbeing of each and every individual in our family of 450,000+ Pasayeños. This is exactly why we have put healthcare front and center of our HELP Program (Health and housing; Education,economic growth and environment; livelihood and lifestyle and peace and order, pamilya (family) and palengke (market) where we tap on all possible sectors to promote better health, may it be physical or mental health,” said Rubiano.

Rubiano said it is very important to give the employees flu vaccines for them not to stop from working and to continue to serve the people.

The mayor said she also experienced suffering from flu, but it did not stop her from working hard to fulfill her role as “Mother of Pasay City.”
