Stephen Harper headlines event to raise funds for family therapy in Israel

On Dec. 3 at the Windsor Arms Hotel, Shelly Avital, along with Marci Cook, Lauren Kimel-Wise and Erin Sternberg, hosted Israel’s Angels, a fundraiser in memory of the lives lost during the Oct. 7 attacks on Israel. The event, organized by the Shelly Avital Foundation and the Jewish National Fund of Canada, raised more than $1.2 million to support the Parenthood Home for Family Therapy at the Resilience Center in Sderot. Former prime minister Stephen Harper sat for a fireside chat moderated by former senator Linda Frum, and Toronto singer Aja Neinstein performed.
