BuKo Channel thrives at two

BuKo Channel, the Philippines' first 24/7 comedy hub, is celebrating its second year on air with a bang. Since its launch in August 2021, BuKo has steadily established itself as a force to be reckoned with in both PayTV and the digital realm of entertainment.

Since its launch in August 2021, BuKo has steadily established itself as a force to be reckoned with in both Pay TV and the digital realm of entertainment.

As of June 2023, it proudly claimed a spot among the country's Top 25 Total PayTV Channels and stands as the most-watched Entertainment Channel on Cignal Play.

Famous for its stellar lineup of comedians and hit shows, BuKo continues to make waves. The popular program “#MaineGoals,” hosted by the charismatic Maine Mendoza, secured the No. 1 spot on Cignal Play's Non-Narrative Entertainment Series. Mendoza also nabbed the title of Best Entertainment Presenter at the prestigious 27th Asian TV Awards. Meanwhile, the uproarious news-comedy show, “BalitaOneNan,” anchored by the dynamic trio KaladKaren, Alex Calleja and Wally Bayola, was nominated as Best Comedy Program at the same award ceremony. Not to be forgotten is the hilarious cooking escapades on “Kusina ni Mamang,” hosted by the lively Pokwang and co-hosted by DJ Jhai Ho.

BuKo's second-anniversary extravaganza brings a fresh lineup of sidesplitting programs that appeal to all ages. The comedy variety is unparalleled: from the action-packed “Jack and Jill sa Diamond Hills,” starring Jake Cuenca and Sue Ramirez, to the hilarious “Emojination,” a game show hosted by the talented Maja Salvador. The iconic Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, Joey De Leon, and the Legit Dabarkads serve up noon-time laughter on “E.A.T.,” and the legendary “Wow Mali Doble Tama” is set to return with the comedic magic of Jose Manalo and Wally Bayola on August 26 at 7 p.m.

Excited to throttle into year three, Buko has more new and comebacking shows including the classic comedy “Okay Ka, Fairy Ko,” the hit series “Daisy Siete,” and the soon-to-premiere “Biglang Sibol Bayang Impasibol” on August 14.

A.P.T. Entertainment President and CEO Michael Tuviera proudly stated, “The awards and recognitions BuKo has garnered for its original shows are a testament to the channel's commitment to providing the most entertaining content while widening viewers' perspectives by injecting a new approach to well-loved genres. Familiar faces mixed with fresh content enrich the Buhay Komedya experience.”

CignalTV First Vice President and Head of Channel and Content Management Sienna Olaso, shared the excitement, saying, “Cignal is proud of the milestones BuKo has achieved in its first two years, and there's definitely more in store for BuKo viewers as the comedy channel rolls into its third year. BuKo brings fun and laughter all in one comedy-packed channel, and it will continue to share the feel-good vibes to viewers all across the country.”

BuKo is available on Ch. 2 on Cignal Postpaid Plans and Prepaid Loads, as well as Cignal Play Live TV and Video-On-Demand for just P75.
