Marcos visits Hawaii en route to Manila

President Marcos has arrived in Honolulu, Hawaii, his last stop for his weeklong visit to the United States.

Malacañang said Marcos arrived at the Hickam Air Force Base in Honolulu along with First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos and other Philippine officials on Sunday afternoon, Nov. 19 (Manila time).

The plane carrying the President arrived at 7:13 pm (Hawaii time), Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Secretary Cheloy Garafil said.

Upon arrival, he went to meet the Filipino community there.

Marcos is scheduled to visit the US Indo-Pacific Command Center while he is in Honolulu. He will have a capability orientation for the JBPHH/ West Philippines Sea Support, attend a barge tour and wreath-laying ceremony, and a roundtable meeting at the Daniel Inouye Asia Pacific Center for Security Studies.

His trip to Honolulu followed his participation at the 30th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders’ Meeting and related activities, and his working visit to Los Angeles.

He will fly back to Manila after this trip.
